Your kind letter to my husband was gratefully received and he says I may write next

I feel it a privilege to turn to strength and integrity of Character in this hour of "the power of darkness"Luke 22:52 Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him, Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves? Luke 22:53 When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness. And such we have ever found yours to be We often recall the humor that made packing and dieting light when we were breaking up housekeeping but the memory of my hours with you and DrEditorial Note: Buswell did not have a medical degree, but in the nineteenth century, persons practicing various “healing arts” were often called “doctor.” Buswell in the class are most pleasant neither of you ever gave me a single pang and that will be a pleasing memory when future years shall better reveal me and my labors and justice shall write my history

My husband named the late raid of mesmerism but the dear old C.S.A. and the Church every member of which I have admitted to these organizations met it calmly and expelled what they termed "the three leading Conspirators James C. Howard Miranda Rice and Dorcas Rawson for perjury and unchristian conduct." Thus it stands on the record of the Church and Association The church then ordained me, and passed resolutions, as also did the Association in utter justification of me and the most tender expressions of gratitude for my labors and their great success. Yes the EdEditorial Note: Editor of the Herald of Health sent us a Magazine As Written: Mag. containing his notice or you did but I thought it was somewhat of a dodge yet I am learning to be thankful for very small favors it is so rare I receive even those

I had hoped you would not judge all by one in your practice and go on for I know you would be a good healer I have lectured out of town this winter although they raised my salary here two-thirds My lectures are received As Written: recd cordially and I have made my plans not to be confined to Boston Am ready to lecture in Philadelphia As Written: Phil if you give me a call Husband sends love
