My dear Student,

I wanted to call on you last Sabbath, yesterday, but the pressure prevented, as usual. I hope you are not discouraged You must not be. This hour tries woman's Soul proves how much God she ha s to walk through the fire and flood and not be harmedIsa 43:1 But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. Isa 43:2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. .

Your little boy is better is he not? I spoke a strong word for you yesterday to two persons, words that they will remember

Fear not, they cannot crush you if you are right it is impossible but the wrong is an open door through which they will walk in and weaken your efforts Now be careful not to do to others only as you would have them do by youMatt 7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. . Remember we cannot be tyrannical As Written: tyranicle or selfish if we are like God in a small sense and we must be that in a strong sense to be a Christian Scientist

Come to our C.S.A. meeting next Wed. at my house if you can

Very truly
M B G Eddy

P.S. I had a letter from your husband requesting me to write him a letter of introduction and recommendation at Bangor This is not my habit I have refused many a one. I have too much to suffer already from the students and think it unwise to identify myself with other's practice
