Please accept the enclosedAs Written:inclosed $50.00 from my students and myself for the childrens’ school of Christian ScienceEditorial Note: Plans for starting a children’s school were announced in an article titled “Educational,” on pages 248-249 of the January 1887 issue of The Christian Science Journal. to be used as you deem most expedient. It is a movement which to me seems of the most serious importance. Two applications for membership have already been made to me– You will recall the name of Mary Bryan the child you admitted to the Church last Fall. Her mother, my student and a member of the Church also, has always been very needy. though now is more comfortable.– Little Mary had been trying for a long time to save pennies enough to buy a Bible to carry to Sabbath School– but hearing that Mrs Eddy had tried to open a Kindergarten for children, she came to me yesterday with .50 centsEditorial Note: $0.50 in 1887 is the equivalent of $16.50 in 2024. (her little fortune) and said– "I want my money to go with the rest and I’ll wait for the Bible–"

She shall have the Bible, but 'tis the children is it not my dear teacher, whose hearts make such willing sacrifices–
